Gas Prices Continued to Rise in March

INDIANA, (WOWO): Gas prices continued to rise in March and Indiana and Illinois are among the states with the largest price hikes.

Illinois and Indiana drivers are currently paying on average $3.76 and $3.71 for a gallon of regular unleaded. That's a rise of over $.25 from just a month ago.

In March in St.Joe County, self-serve regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.70 per gallon, nearly a quarter higher compared to last month, but more than a nickel lower than last year.

The AAA Chicago Motorclub says two nearby refineries will undergo seasonal maintenance, which may cause a disruption in prices. These refineries should complete their maintenance by the end of April, which should allow gasoline supply to build before the summer driving season.
