FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne firefighters were called to battle a house fire Sunday night on the 800 block of Columbia Avenue, near Loree Avenue.
Crews arrived to the home at 10 p.m. to find flames shooting out of the roof of the home. Firefighters noticed the top of the house was already collapsing and they were able to extinguish flames that had spread into the second floor and attic.
At least one apartment was located inside the home. The two people inside were able to make it out safe and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
