FWCS Seeks Support for Public Schools

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Community Schools would like to start reaching out to the community in order to boost support for public schools.

According to the Journal Gazette, board members will take recommendations on a plan of action after their meeting on May 27th.

The FWCS board has been hosting afternoon work session to come up with ways to build civic capacity and in turn, broaden support for public schools.

The board has goals for the district's budget, student achievement, and answering negative letters to the editors. 

The Journal Gazette reports they would like to increase the number of supports in the business community, religious groups, taxpayers, and higher education partners.
