FW police asking for help identifying Belmont Beverage robbery suspect

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the robbery suspect captured in the surveillance photographs above.

He walked into the Belmont Beverage, located at 929 S Lafayette, at approximately 1:50 p.m., Tuesday and robbed the store.

According to one of the clerks working at the time of the robbery, the suspect approached the counter and stated, “Give me all the money in the till.” The suspect said it once more before putting his hand behind his back and partially into his waistband to act as though he was armed. He then stated, “I don’t have to pull this on you.” The clerk proceed to give the suspect cash.

Once the suspect got what he wanted, he left the store and it’s believed he walked eastbound along Washington Boulevard. The suspect was last seen wearing a black shirt with “AFFLICTION” in white writing on it, blue jeans, white shoes, and a white bracelet on his right wrist.

Anyone with information leading to the suspect’s identification is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP (436-7867).
