FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne fire crews fought two blazes Wednesday. The first was reported at a home on Anthony Wayne Drive just after 4:00 P.M. where someone was reported to be trapped inside. However, the two occupants got themselves out before crews got there. One dog was inside the home and did perish. It took just over 30 minutes to get the fire under control. Then crews responded to a fire on Ellen Avenue just after 10:30 P.M. where a detached garage was found to be fully engulfed in flames. Crews got the fire under control in about 15 minutes, but one firefighter did suffer a knee injury and was taken to Lutheran Hospital.
