FW Children’s Zoo job fair this weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo will host a Summer Job Fair on Saturday, March 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Zoo Education Center.

Approximately 90 seasonal positions will be available through The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. Job openings include guest service positions at the food concessions, gift shops, front gate, rides, zoo interpreters and operations support. All openings are temporary positions, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week during the zoo season, which runs mid-April through mid-October.

Both interviews and hiring will take place at the job fair until positions are filled or as time and capacity allow.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo opens April 21, for their 53rd season and is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 600,000 guests annually.  The zoo was voted Indiana’s number one “Gotta-Do Summer Attraction” and is consistently named one of the nation’s Top Ten Zoos for Kids by national media outlets.

As a self-supporting facility, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo receives no tax dollars for operations.  The zoo’s operations are funded entirely by earned revenue and donations.
