FW Bank Task Force Looks into Robberies

Two robbers hold up two banks, in two different parts of town, two days apart; are they related? That’s what the Fort Wayne Bank Task Force is trying to figure out. The First Federal Savings on South Bend Drive at West Jefferson was held up yesterday morning, just after they opened at nine. A man came in and appeared to be covering his face with a piece of paper and a ball cap on. As he got to the counter, he pulled the hood up on his sweatshirt, and pulled out a gun. At about the same time, a 2nd guy came in with his pistol, and they demaded the cash. There were two cashiers inside at the time and they gave them the money and the men took off. Police are asking if you know anything about this, or if you saw anything out of place in the area, give them a call.
