Fremont Bakery Hiring New Workers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you are looking for work, here's a company that's hiring.

New Horizons Baking Company in Fremont is hosting a a job fair Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the WorkOne Career Center in Angola.

The company says they are looking to hire as many as 30 employees.

Within six months, workers can make more than $15 dollars an hour. New Horizons makes sandwich buns, rolls and English muffins for restaurants and food service.

Applicants should bring a resume and be ready to fill-out an application.

FREMONT, Ind. – The New Horizons Baking Co. in Fremont will conduct a hiring event Feb. 17 at the WorkOne Northeast career center in Angola to hire 30 associates.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 317 S. Wayne St., Angola.

New Horizons Baking Co., based in Norwalk, Ohio, makes sandwich buns, rolls and English muffins for the quick-service restaurant and food service industry.

The jobs that are available are primarily afternoon and night shifts. Among the jobs: operating industrial mixers, working the production line, or loading product onto trailers.

New hires will make $13.90 an hour to start and $14.90 after 90 days with benefits eligibility. Within six months, workers can expect to make $15.90 an hour.

New Horizons is looking for people with a high school degree or the equivalent and a willingness to work as part of a team, learn the entire baking process, and work off-shift and overtime when needed. Candidates should bring a resume and be prepared to fill out an application.
