Free Community Fair Friday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic will host a free community health fair Friday.

The 23rd Annual Healthy Cities Health Fair/17th Annual Veterans’ Stand Down will provide free screenings and other healthcare services to under-insured or uninsured residents of Northeast Indiana. Services include adult immunizations; flu and pneumonia shots; blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure checks; and HIV testing.

The event will also offer screenings for vision, foot, osteoporosis and cancer. Dental services and haircuts will be available. In addition, winter coats and personal hygiene items will be distributed. A free lunch will be provided.

Veterans can also talk to representatives from the Veterans Benefits Administration, WorkOne Veterans Services, Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Services and the Vet Center. Adults 18 years and older who are under-insured or uninsured, or veterans are eligible to receive services.

The event will be open from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, at Matthew 25 Health & Dental Clinic, 413 East Jefferson Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
