Four Juveniles Held On Armed Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Fort Wayne police tracked four juveniles after an attempted armed robbery.

Police responded to a call at the 3300 block of Bowser Avenue after a man said he was approached by four black males that displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded his stepped out of his car and hand over his personal belongings.  Afterwards the suspects fled the scene on foot heading southbound on Bowser with the victims wallet and cell phone.

Officers called additional help to track the suspects, and found their footprints in fresh snow.  It led the officers to the 3500 block of Bowser Avenue where they attempted to make contact, but they refused to leave the home.

At 10:16 p.m. both the Emergency Services Team and the Crisis Response Team were called to the barricaded teens.  It wasn't until 12:36 a.m. that the four suspects agreed to end the standoff and leave the residence.

The four suspects were all male juveniles.  They were transported to the Detective Bureau for interviews and later transported to the Allen County Juvenile Justice Center with a single count of armed robbery.  Because of their age, their names will not be released at this time.
