Foul Play Suspected After 2 Bodies Found in Fire

ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Investigators suspect foul play after finding the bodies of two people in a burning south central Indiana home.

Monroe County Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Brad Swain says neighbors reported the woman who lived in the home had made comments about harming her son and herself.

Monroe County Coroner Nicole Meyer tells The Herald-Times that foul play is suspected.

The fire was reported Thursday morning at a house just northwest of Ellettsville, about 45 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

The victims were not immediately identified. Meyer says their names and the cause and manner of their deaths would likely be released Friday after autopsies were conducted.

The fire was extensive, and firefighters considered the home a total loss.
