FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Wayne have risen 7.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.06 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has fallen 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.04 per gallon.
Experts with GasBuddy say April is a rare time to see gas prices drop in some places from where it was the prior week. Unfortunately, they add that it’s more of an anomaly than a trend. The decline is likely due to the healthy inventory in advance of demand, but drivers shouldn’t expect that to last when summer travel kicks into high gear.
