FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It’s not a fun time to be filling up at the pump, as gasoline prices see their typical seasonal rise, that’s what Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy says. The rise in gas prices comes as refinery maintenance begins kicking into high gear, but DeHaan adds that this year’s jump so far has seen average prices remain well below last year’s levels across much of the country.
In Fort Wayne, average retail gas prices have risen 4.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.95 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has increased 5.6 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.04 per gallon.
