FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Wayne have risen 13.9 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.96 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that’s jumped to $1.93 per gallon in the last week.

Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy says the cheapest gas prices of the year are now solidly behind us, as the national average will soon again hit the two dollar mark. DeHaan adds that drivers could still see the cheapest average summer gas prices in over a decade.
