FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) –

10th Annual Taste of the Arts Festival – Friday, August 24 @ 5-10 p.m., and Saturday, August 25 @ 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. 
This free festival celebrates the arts and culture in our community. Check out performances by local dancers, musicians, actors and buskers, buy art from local artists, let the kids participate in hands-on activities, and get a taste of Fort Wayne drinks and food.

Kekionga Plein Air Paint Out & Sale at the Taste of the Arts Festival – Friday, August 24 @ 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, August 25 @ 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Fort Wayne Artists Guild presents the 2nd annual Kekionga Paint Out. Artists from the tri-state area will gather to paint on-site and outdoors, ‘en plain air,’ throughout Fort Wayne and surrounding Allen County. All paintings will be on sale for the final day of the Taste of the Arts Festival.

Friday Nites Live – Summer Concert Series – Friday, August 24 @ 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The Wizard of Oz – Friday, August 24 @ 7-9:15 p.m.
Ecstatic Theatrics presents a quirky, action-packed version of the classic Wizard of Oz. Event includes dinner, which costs between $4-$8. Arrive early to explore the outdoor “Nature is Amazing Maze!”

90 years of Film Series at Embassy Theatre – Friday, August 24 @ 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy the Pirates of the Caribbean this Friday at the Embassy Theatre.

Uncorked Presents the Joe Lisinicchia Quartet – Friday, August 24 @ 7:30-9:30 p.m.
Food trucks will be on-site, including JB’s Cuisine Machine and Sol Kitchen Food Truck. No outside food, beverages or alcohol allowed in venue. Patio seating is limited – blankets or lawn chairs are strongly encouraged.

The Guess Who – Foellinger Theatre Summer Concert Series – Friday, August 24 @ 8 p.m.
One of the founding members, Garry Peterson, brings this 1970s super group back to the Foellinger Theatre. You’ll rock to their mega-hits, including “These Eyes,” “No Sugar Tonight” and “American Woman.”

Botanical Roots Concert Series 2018 – Friday, August 24 @ 8:30-11 p.m.
Enjoy the reggae group Indika this Friday in the outdoor Terrace Garden. Concerts are held rain or shine, and seating is limited, so feel free to bring your own chair. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Mad Anthony Brewing.
Admission: $6, children 12 years and younger are free

Post Miamies – Saturday, August 25 @ 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Sunday, August 26 @ 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
French and British forces clash at the Old Fort as the 1700’s come alive. Fur traders, Native Americans, civilians, and soldiers demonstrate daily activities at the French outpost known as Post Miamie during the French and Indiana War. Experience battles and infantry drills, visit merchants, tour the Old Fort and talk with historical artisans.

Le Tour de Fort 2018 ‘Roots Tour’ – Saturday, August 25 @ 10:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
This bicycle pub-crawl allows adults to drink responsibly for a good cause. This year, the event supports Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter #40 in providing new shuttle vehicles for Veterans in need.
Admission: $35-$40 (must be 21+ to register)

Fort Wayne Motor Fest – Saturday, August 25 @ 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
This event benefits Windrose Urban Farm, which provides employment opportunities for individuals living with special needs in our community while growing high-quality food and garden products. Event goers will be able to enjoy local food trucks and participate in games and raffle drawings. The event is open to all vehicles and prizes are awarded for two categories: classic (pre-1990) and modern (1990 to present).

Tacos, Tequila and Margarita Fest 2018 – Saturday, August 25 @ 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Purchase of $5 advance ticket comes with five drink tickets that can be used toward your first margarita!

Erin’s House 25th Birthday Family Fun Day – Saturday, August 25 @ 1-4 p.m.
Join-in for a day filled with fun activities and delicious food while getting to know more about Erin’s House. The event includes a bounce house, a dunk tank, face painting, Amanda Lee Coffee and appearances by Mayor Tom Henry and Johnny TinCap.

Pre-Harvest Festival – Saturday, August 25 @ 4-11 p.m.
The day will be full of awesome music, delicious food, your favorite wines, fireworks and a few surprises. The full music lineup includes: O’Sister, Brother; Todd Harold/Nick Bobay Duo; Colin Boyd Band; Love Hustler; and Cory Wong (headliner). The event is 18+. Patio seating is limited, and lawn chairs and blankets are strongly recommended.

Rock the Plaza 2018 – Saturday, August 25 @ 6 p.m.

The Art Market at Taste of the Arts – Saturday, August 25 @ 6-9 p.m.
This year, the market will expand to feature 36 artisans with a selection of handmade jewelry, woodworking, paper goods, ceramics and more. This new art market stands apart from the outdoor artisan markets by providing a diverse selection of local and non-local handmade goods with an indie twist.

The Open Air Market at Jefferson Pointe – Sunday, August 26 @ 12-5 p.m.
The Open Air Market is a twice-monthly event that brings together boutique vendors from various fields. Whether you’re looking for unique decor, hand-crafted jewelry, select cuisine, one-of-a-kind sculptures, all-natural soaps and more.
