FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) –

Maumee Valley Antique Steam and Gas Association Summer Show – Friday, August 17 through Sunday, August 19
Event includes displays of antique cars, trucks, steam engines, gas engines, tractors and garden tractors; large quilt display and demonstrations; kid’s activities; evening entertainment; daily threshing, sawing and plowing with tractors and steam engines; hayrides and demonstrations with horses. Steamed sweet corn Friday evening, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Admission: $7 daily, children 12 and younger are free

Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society Open House – Friday, August 17 @ 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday, August 18 @ 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Sunday, August 19 @ Noon – 4 p.m.
Experience living railroad history during this three-day event featuring the live-steam display of the world-famous steam locomotive no. 765, historic displays, local food trucks and more. Train rides are approximately 15-20 minutes in length.
Admission: Free, train rides are $5

Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo: Zoofari – Friday, August 17 @ 6-9 p.m.
Zoofari (previously known as Zoo Brew & Wine Too) offers guests 21+ the chance to sample delicious food, beer and wine from over 40 local and regional establishments as they stroll through the zoo listening to music from local bands. Proceeds from this event support zoo operations, conservation, education and animal care programs.
Admission: $150 VIP, $75 General Admission

Friday Nites Live – Summer Concert Series – Friday, August 17 @ 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Bring your family and friends out to enjoy a free concert at the Courtyard Fountain. Blankets and chairs are recommended!

B.B. King’s Blues Band featuring Tito Jackson – Friday, August 17 @ 7 p.m.
For over half a century, B.B. King’s Blues Band has averaged over 250 sold-out concerts per year, with classics like “The Thrill is Gone” and “Why I Sing the Blues.” Superstar Tito Jackson has teamed up with the B.B. King’s Blues Band to tour, keeping the musical legacy of The Jackson’s alive.

ArtCity Fundraiser at River City – Friday, August 17 @ 7-10 p.m.
Enjoy a night of artists, craftsmen and creators of all forms, plus live music, food trucks and drinks! Come out and support artists while getting a tour of the ever-changing facilities. The fundraiser supports TekVenture.

Botanical Roots Concert Series 2018 – Friday, August 17 @ 8:30-11 p.m.
Enjoy this week’s band, Indika (Reggae). Concerts are held ran or shine in the outdoor Terrace Garden. Seating is limited so feel free to bring your own chair. Food and beverage will be available for purchase from Mad Anthony Brewing.
Admission: $6, children 12 years and younger are free

Birdies and Bogeys Golf Outing – Saturday, August 18 @ 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Join ESPN Fort Wayne for the Birdies and Bogeys Golf Outing, a benefit for Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Register your foursome team that includes 18 holes of golf, cart and lunch! Check in at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. shotgun start, and lunch at 1 p.m.

Cars & Coffee – Saturday, August 18 @ 9-11 a.m.

The 4th Annual Northeast Indiana Woodworking Artisans Fair – Saturday, August 18 @ 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Event highlights include woodworking technique demonstrations throughout the day, a live chainsaw carving, factory representatives covering topics from machinery to finishing, and great food from iGrandma’s Food Truck.

Satek Winery Art Show – Saturday, August 18 @ 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Drawing more than 20 artists, this art show puts their work on the lawn promenade for both display and purchase. Shigs In Pit will be on-site with food available for purchase, and Satek Winery will have free wine tasting available with proper ID.

Science Central’s 2018 AWS Special Abilities Day – Saturday, August 18 @ 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
This event is free to members of the community with special abilities with pre-registration. Through the generous support of the AWS Foundation, Science Central hosts Special Abilities Day, providing fun science and education for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Modifications are made to exhibits and programs during this time.

Rock the Plaza 2018 – Saturday, August 18 @ 6 p.m.
