Fort Wayne Schools Prepping for 2015-2016 School Year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new school year means new challenges for school districts across Indiana. Fort Wayne Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Wendy Robinson says lawmakers aren't making teachers' jobs any easier:

“As laws are passed on the state and federal levels that impact the expectations that the government has for schools, the funding doesn't always match those expectations.”

School starts up next Tuesday for the Fort Wayne Community School District, but believe it or not, there's still time to register your kids, Robinson says:

“In a district our size, we have people registering every day of the year, almost. If parents haven't registered yet, they should come on down to the Grile Administration Center. People there are more than willing to help them get registered.”

You can also find registration information at the FWCS website. Also, give yourself a little more time to get your child to the bus stop this year, as Robinson says many bus stop locations have changed.
