FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you’re looking for a city to live in, and want to save money in the process, Fort Wayne should be at the top of your list. That’s because the Summit City is at the top of the list in a national study on cities with the lowest cost of living.

Niche’s 2017 Best Places list rates Fort Wayne an A-minus overall, citing a median household income that’s about $10,000 less than the national average while touting the variety of food and entertainment options.

The city does get docked in the crime and safety department, however, getting just a C+, based on violent and property crime rates. The murder and robbery rates are actually higher than the national average per 100,000 residents, according to the study.
