UPDATE: Fort Wayne police find missing 5-year-old

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): As of 7:37 p.m, Firday night, misisng 5-year-old Aniyah Recht was located and reunited with her family.

Fort Wayne Police tells WOWO News, it appears she went with a friend to the Boys and Girls Club after school.  No foul play is suspected.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department are currently searching for a missing 5-year-old girl. Police tell WOWO News that Aniyah Recht was last seen at approximately 2:55 p.m., Friday afternoon, walking home from Abbett Elementary School located at 4325 Smith Street.

Aniyah was supposed to be walking to her home on Weisser Park Avenue.

The Missing Child Alert was activated around 4:40 p.m., Friday.

Aniyah is described as black, approximately 3’6” tall, about 40 pounds, with short braids in her hair with multi-colored beads.  Two possible clothing descriptions were provided for Aniyah.  The first clothing description is a red, black, and white Minnie Mouse shirt with blue jeans.  The second clothing description is a pink shirt with a puppy design and a black and white skirt with a zigzag print.  Aniyah is also missing her lower front middle tooth.

Due to her age, investigators believe that Aniyah is in danger.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Aniyah is asked to immediately contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1222 or simply dial 911.
