FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A police raid near downtown Fort Wayne led to the discovery of drugs and a possible dog breeding operation.
Fort Wayne police searched a home in the 1000 block of Savilla Avenue, a few blocks west of Fairfield Elementary School, and found 86 grams of cocaine, a drum magazine for a 12-gauge shotgun, shotgun shells, an AR rifle magazine and a number of digital scales.
Most surprising, though, was the discovery of 18 large-breed “Canary Mastiff” dogs: 2 adult females, 1 adult male and 15 puppies, which prompted the launching of a large-scale breeding operation investigation.
30-year-old Dimitric Freeman was arrested on drug dealing charges.
