Fort Wayne officials seek northeast side “arsonist”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There’s an arsonist on the loose in northeast Fort Wayne.

That’s according to the Fort Wayne Police and Fire Departments, who tell our Partners in News at 21Alive someone has been setting fires “for fun” in the Blackhawk and Blackhawk Forest neighborhoods. More than a dozen fires have been reported there since last month.

All of the fires have been in vacant homes, and some of them have been in the same home multiple times.

Investigators say the suspect they have in mind is between the ages of 17 and 21… if you know who’s responsible, contact police or Crime Stoppers.
