Fort Wayne Man Wanted on Attempted Murder Charge, Arrested

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man, wanted by the Fort Wayne Police Department for his involvement in a September shooting, has been taken into custody.

Police say on Wednesday, around 10:00 p.m., the Fort Wayne Gang and Violent Crimes Unit located 21-year-old Trayshaun Pernell. He was wanted for attempted murder and aggravated battery in reference to the shooting of Dytrell Allen on September 4, 2014.

Pernell was taken into custody at a traffic stop near Oxford and Anthony, without incident.

Police say Allen was standing on Drexell Avenue when someone in a gray car started shooting.
