Fort Wayne Man Sentenced to 60 Years for Attempted Murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 60 years in jail for attempting to kill his wife and stepdaughter.

According to the Journal Gazette, 35-year-old Stephen Walker was sentenced on two counts of attempted murder; each sentence is worth 30 years and must be served one after the other for a total of 60 years.

Investigators say back in October, Walker shot his wife after a fight over an ex-boyfriend. The stepdaughter tried to step in, but she ended up getting shot in the arm.

Walker was arrested a few days after the shootings in the Dupont Estates trailer park.

In exchange for Walker’s guilty plea, eight additional charges were dismissed Tuesday afternoon.
