FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man will spend 40 years in prison after admitting he molested a child for years.
Elmer Duque, 39, was sentenced to 30 years for child molesting, 10 years for sexual misconduct with a minor, four years for sexual misconduct with a minor and domestic battery on Tuesday, according to the News-Sentinel.
The first two sentenced will be served one after another. The other two sentences will be served at the same time.
Allen Superior Court Judge John Surbeck dismissed 15 sex charges related to the case.
Court document say Duque had been sexually abusing a victim for years and it started when she was 8 years old. The abuse didn’t stop until she was 17, according to our news partners at 21Alive. The victim said the abuse included intercourse and happened may times per week.
Duque waived his right to appeal the sentence. He has 145 days jail credit.
