Fort Wayne Man Gets 78 Years for Christmas Day Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 78 years behind bars, for a Christmas Day shooting.

According to the Journal Gazette, Senaca Lapsley was sentenced Thursday for firing a gun through a window into a bar, leaving Zach Huddleston critically injured.

Court documents say that Lapsley was involved in a fight at Sports and Spirits Bar east of downtown, before being kicked out of the establishment. However, he returned to fire the shots.

Last month a jury convicted Lapsley of two charges of aggravated battery, two charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and another charge of criminal recklessness for firing into an occupied building. They also found him to be a habitual offender.
