Fort Wayne Man Gets 57 Months For Bank Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  A Fort Wayne man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison.  45-year-old Horia Malutan was sentenced in United States District Court following his plea of guilty to armed bank robbery. Malutan was sentenced to 57 months in prison followed by 2 years of supervised release. According to documents in the case, on Christmas Eve 2019, while armed with a deadly weapon, Malutan pushed aside an employee to force his way into a bank in Fort Wayne. Once inside the bank, Malutan ordered employees to lie face down on the ground, while continuing to threaten them. He subsequently exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Stress.. The Anxiety.. The feeling of Hopelessness.

Christmas Eve, i feel you, guy.
I have been there.. even caught myself joking about ‘robbing a bank’, to make ends meet, once the bills start coming in…
But, come on Horia! We don’t act on our impulses!
…someone definitely made that Naughty List…

Maybe next .. 57.. what the?? Who does that?
Once it’s beyond 18 months i have to grab a calculator..
4-3/4 years (4.75 for the fractional haters)

Notice how the courts have made it a couple months longer, so you get out in February!
You’ll have to be good another 10 months during 2027, to become eligible!
