Fort Wayne Man Dies In Ohio Crash

MERCER COUNTY, Oh. (WOWO):  A man from Fort Wayne has died after a head-on collision in Ohio.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff's Department, 26 year old Adam Hamilton of Fort Wayne was driving westbound on US 33 when he attempted to pass a tractor trailer west of Palmer Road.  He moved directly in the path of an oncoming car driven by 33 year old Josua Angel.

Hamilton and Angel both swerved and ended up colliding head-on in a ditch on the side of US33. 

Our news partners at 21 Alive say Hamilton was alone in the car and was air lifted to a Fort Wayne hospital where he later died. 

Angel was accompanied by his 34 year old wife Christine and three children ages 4, 5 and 8. They were all taken to a St. Mary’s hospital where later, Angel and his wife were transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital.
