FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man was arrested on multiple sex crimes after police say he had an inappropriate relationship with a 12-year-old girl he met online.

Joseph Coder, 34, was formally charged with vicarious sexual conduct, child solicitation performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor, two counts of possession of child porn and inappropriate communication with a child, according to the News-Sentinel.

If he is convicted of all charges, he could spend up to 24 years in jail.

On July 7, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children gave the Fort Wayne Police Department a tip that Coder might be contacting a 12-year-old girl.

The girl told investigators she met Coder on Snapchat and gave him her cellphone number.

According to police, he lied about his age and said he was 16 at first.

The girl told police Coder asked her to send him nude photos of herself and her 10-year-old sister. She also said they both performed sexual acts on themselves while video chatting.
Police say Coder admitted to exchanging text messages, photos and videos with the girl.
