Fort Wayne Man Arrested on Gun Related Charges

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Officers with the Indiana State Police Department arrested a Fort Wayne man Tuesday night on gun related charges.

Just after 11:00 p.m., troopers were following up a report about shots being fired in the area of the Eden Green Apartment Complex.

Around the same time the report when out, officers noticed a car speed out of the complex and commit several traffic violations. They proceeded to initiate a traffic stop.

Once the vehicle was pulled over, officers noticed four people inside the car, a female driver and three male passengers. One of the men, 20-year-old Michael Bracey of Fort Wayne, had a loaded gun and a bag of loose ammunition. Police soon learned that the gun was reportedly stolen during an armed robbery at Lev's Pawn Shop back on January 10th of this year.

Bracey was taken to the Allen County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of stolen property and possession of a handgun without a permit.

No further action was taken against the other individuals in the car and they were released.
