Fort Wayne History Markers Add Digital Feature

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP): Visitors to historical markers around Fort Wayne now have the option for a quick online link to more information about the sites. A city historic preservation group is adding QR codes to the 19 stops along Central Downtown Heritage Trail. Those square codes added to the signs allow visitors to scan them into smartphones and check out web pages about the spot. The project includes web pages for sites such as the Gen. Anthony Wayne statue and the home of Civil War nurse Eliza “Mother'' George.
