FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne has tied for first place for having the lowest apartment rental costs in the country.

After surveying 100 of nation's largest cities, Apartmentlist.com has tied Fort Wayne in first place with Toledo, Ohio, as having the lowest rental costs in America. According to the website, the median price of a two-bedroom apartment in Fort Wayne goes for $570. That's 40% lower than the national average.

At that rate, residents save about $4,500 dollars every year.

Other low-cost cities include Cincinnati, Detroit, and Indianapolis.
