Fort Wayne Firefighter Hurt in House Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne firefighter was hurt while dealing with a Thanksgiving Day house fire.

Crews were called to an abandoned home at 2208 South Lafayette at 1:15am to find the second story of the home completely on fire. Firefighters tried to deal with the blaze on the inside of the building, but had to retreat and take care of it from the outside. It was under control by 2am. 

One firefighter was injured, but the department didn't specify how severely.
