FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Community Schools are set to receive a big grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
It’s $50 million that FWCS will receive. According to the Journal Gazette, administrators told the school board Monday that the, PEER(Performance + Equity= Excellent Results), will support professional learning and a system to develop and retain effective staff, among other uses.
The board unanimously approved acceptance of the grant for three years and is renewable up to five, with the grant totaling $49,946, 193.
