FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A resolution to use American Rescue Plan Act funds for several city projects was approved Tuesday.

Our partners in news at ABC 21 report that the projects include a new grocery store on the city’s southeast side that is considered to be in a food desert, as well as three parks.

Councilwoman Sharon Tucker said the next step is to draw up contracts for the projects and for them then to be voted on by the council.

A prime example of why big government spending is WRONG. Why should taxpayers around the country be forced to pay for improvements in Ft. Wayne? Are these improvements really needed or is the city council buying votes with their spending?

What business does the government have putting up grocery stores? There is probably a good reason there is not store in the said area. Supply and demand determine where stores go not the government in free market system. Quit spending our money like IDIOTS!

Straight from Whitehouse.gov

“The American Rescue Plan is delivering direct relief to the American people, rescuing the American economy, and starting to beat the virus.”

I trying to find in the story where three parks and a new grocery store is in ANY relation to the Covid Virus….justification to use the ARPA funds. With all the excess ARPA money out there…why does this money have to be spent? the Pandemic is over, even Moron Biden said. Why can’t the government recall all non-spent APRA money to reduce the burden our Great Grandkids will pay for?

Additionally, There’s a lot of surplus money out there… APRA funds, excess State funds….

at a time when Inflation is skyrocketing (Due to printing money), Why can’t they LOWER TAXES!!!!

We all know the answer…Government only continues to take more, not give back. And no, I’m not talking about the “Throw the dogs a bone” stupid $200 the State is giving back. I’m talking about Real meaningful change in taxes that will benefit everyone.
