FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Halloween fundraiser is aiming to raise money to purchase musical instruments for the Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne.

The event is 10 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Brass Rail.  Jess Thrower, the club’s program assistant, teaches a music class a few days a week. She said they’re in desperate need of musical instruments.

“Currently were using just like my one ukulele, or my one guitar, or my one keyboard, and it’s really hard for my kids to learn on it because I will have like 20 kids for each lesson,” she said.

Thrower said all of the money raised Saturday night will go towards the purchase of guitars and ukulele’s for the kids. There will be a $6 cover, a Halloween Costume contest, a raffle and four live bands. To find more about the fundraiser, click here.
