FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you’ve been looking for a new furry friend to cuddle with this weekend, you’re in luck.

The Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control is offering $25 dog adoptions on Thursday and Friday, according to the city of Fort Wayne.

The adoption fees include the first series of distemper vaccine, a microchip, a spay or neuter surgery, donated health exam from an area veterinarian and a small bag of dog food.
Cat and kitten adoptions will be pick-your-price. Small animals like rabbits, guinea pigs and birds will be available for $10.

In order to adopt, Animal Care and Control asks you to:
· “Bring your current pets rabies and distemper records (cats, dogs & ferrets/rabies only)

· If you have pets at home we will require that your dog(s) meet the potential adoption dog so please come early so you can meet the animal and your dog can also meet their new friend!

· Bring in your entire family. Children 5-years-old and under will be required to meet the potential adoption animal.

· If you are adopting a cat or small animal, no animal interactions will be required, but if you have pets at home, providing us with current vet records will still be required.”
Animal Care and Control will be open noon to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
