Former ‘Tonight Show’ Host Makes Stops in Indiana

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) – Former “Tonight Show'' host Jay Leno made stops in Kokomo and nearby Sharpsville to check out some classic cars.

The Kokomo Tribune reports Leno made stops Saturday at A Summer Place in Sharpsville, which is a vintage old town complete with diner, barber shop, police and fire stations, drive-in theater and gas station. Founder Jim Richardson says Leno posed for pictures with fans who stopped in and checked out the cars on site.

Richardson says Leno arrived in a 1969 Grand Prix. Richardson says he was impressed with Leno's knowledge of cars, as the two reminisced about their former automobiles.

After that, Leno made stops throughout Kokomo at the Kokomo Automotive Heritage Museum, Chrysler's Kokomo Transmission Plant and at a restaurant.
