VINCENNES, Ind. (AP) _ A former Girl Scouts camp in southwestern Indiana that was embroiled in a long legal dispute over its ownership has reopened under the control of a local group.

Nearly 100 people gathered Wednesday evening for the rededication of Vincennes' 10-acre Camp Wildwood, which is now managed by the Camp Wildwood Foundation.

Foundation President Jim Gislason tells the Vincennes Sun-Commercial (http://bit.ly/1yax6va ) “it's a culmination of blood, sweat and tears.''

The Indiana Supreme Court sided with the Vincennes group last year in an ownership dispute that began in 2009 when the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois tried to shut down and sell the camp.

Knox County Chamber of Commerce president Marc McNeece says the camp's four restored shelter houses will house scouting events, church camps and retreat space for small businesses.
