FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A former Fort Wayne Police Officer has been sentenced to six years behind bars for rape.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, 45-year-old Mark Rogers was sentenced Friday afternoon to a total of 10 years, with 4 years suspended and 2 years of probation.

In August, Rogers pleaded guilty to raping a woman during an OWI arrest in 2013, a Class-B Felony.

Court documents maintain that the 19-year police veteran took an intoxicated woman to the hospital and then later sexually assaulted her in a city park last September.
