FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There will be no charges filed against the former Fort Wayne City Clerk.
A prosecutor decided that Sandy Kennedy, along with other former employees in the Clerk’s office, will not face charges. The News-Sentinel reports Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards decided the conduct was inappropriate, but not criminal.
Last year, then Clerk Kennedy was caught on video by Parking Enforcement Supervisor Colin Kenney suggesting workers could lose their jobs if they didn’t support Angie Davis for office. An ethics board reviewed the claims, as well as an investigation from the State Police.
On October 13th, 2015, Kennedy resigned from office just three days after the video was released by the News-Sentinel.
In February, a discovery of $11,381 worth of stamps were found by current Clerk Lana Keesling. She also reported 200 missing “free parking” passes for city meters.
