Former Butler University President Dead at 64

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (WOWO): A former Butler University leader has died.

One-time President Bobby Fong who led the school from 2001 to 2011, died Monday from natural causes. Officials with Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, where Fong served since 2011, made the announcement today.

The 64-year-old Fong led Butler through enrollment and fundraising success. He was remembered as a approachable and popular with students. The son of Chinese immigrants, Fong was also praised for find a balance between athletic and academic success.
