Flood Watch Continues through Sunday

North Webster, Ind. (WOWO): Forecasters with the National Weather service have issued a flash flood watch. The watch is effective until Sunday morning.

The watch includes: Allen, Adams, Blackford, DeKalb, Noble, Huntington Kosciusko, Wabash, Wells, Whitley and Wabash Counties. In Ohio, Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert and Williams Counties are part of the watch area.

A watch means conditions are favorable for the potential of flooding. You are asked to monitor conditions and be alert for flood warnings and take appropriate action.

Rain is expected to pickup through the day and intensify this evening. That rain will mix with increasing levels of snow melt run off to strain rivers, creeks and low lying areas.

The focus is especially near the Maumee and Wabash Rivers and areas south of US 24.

Flooding could continue into next week.
