Flood Warnings in Effect

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind (WOWO): With all the recent rain, some flooding is likely to occur in several areas in Allen County.

According to the National Weather Service, flood warnings are in effect for three major areas:

A flood warning is in effect for the Maumee River at Fort Wayne from late tonight until Monday evening. At 11:00 a.m. today, the stage was 9.3 feet and rising. Moderate flooding is in the forecast and by the weekend, it’s expected to crest near 20.4 feet.

The Saint Marys River near Decatur has a flood warning in effect from now until further notice. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is in the forecast.

The flood warning continues for the Saint Marys River at Muldoon Bridge from this evening into Sunday night.

The National Weather Service wants to remind you to be extra careful while on the roadways and never drive your vehicle through flooded areas. Along with that, don’t let you kids play in or near the water.
