Flash Flood Watch Issued

SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): Heavy rains have dropped more than an inch of rain in some parts of the area. There is minor to moderate flooding. The rains are expected to continue through much of Wednesday, but according to National Weather Service forecasters, it could have been worse.

Meteorologist Evan Bentley says the rain has keep temperatures cool, limiting the threat of the severe thunderstorms. However, they continue to watch for some cloud clearing that would spark some isolated thunderstorms.

A flash flood watch will take effect Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. The watch area covers Allen, Adams, Blackford, DeKalb, Grant, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells, and Whitley County in Indiana. The Ohio counties of Defiance, Paulding, Van Wert, and Williams are also impacted.
