First Lady Karen Pence Presents $100,000 Check to Indiana National Guard Relief Fund

Press Release:

First Lady Karen Pence announced today a donation of $100,000 to the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund–a private non-profit, tax exempt corporation that provides financial relief to service members and their families.

The governor and Mrs. Pence wanted a portion of the proceeds of the inaugural funds raised to go to worthy organizations. They partnered with the Midwest Food Bank and the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund and promoted these partnerships to people across the state. As a result, Hoosiers, including individuals, ticket buyers and corporations, responded.

“The governor and I are truly touched by the outpouring of support from Hoosiers across the state during the planning of inaugural events,” said First Lady Karen Pence. “We are thrilled to be able to give back to our Hoosier heroes and their families, who sacrifice so much in their day-to-day lives to keep the people of our nation safe and to defend our freedom for generations to come.”
