Fire Destroys Lima, Ohio Warehouse

LIMA, Ohio (AP): A large fire has ripped through several warehouse buildings in Lima, sending plumes of thick, black smoke into the air.

The blaze broke out Tuesday afternoon in a warehouse building at Otis Wright & Sons in Lima. Fueled by rubber and plastic, officials say the fire quickly spread to six other buildings on the site.

The Lima News reports winds of up to 15 mph fed an already strong fire.

Many nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution.

Officials say no injuries were reported and everyone in the warehouse buildings made it out safely.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
