WOODBURN, Ind. (AP) – A fire burned about 50 feet up inside a building next to grain bins at a storage facility in rural northeastern Indiana.
Workers at the Trupointe Cooperative facility about 15 miles east of Fort Wayne saw the flames and reported the fire about 1 a.m. Thursday.
Several fire departments were called to the scene, mainly to help shuttle water to the scene since there were no fire hydrants nearby.
Water was sprayed from an aerial ladder truck to keep flames from spreading. Woodburn fire officials said natural gas feeding into the structure was fueling the flames until it was shut off.
No injuries were reported.
