Fellow Officers Set to Testify in the Trial of David Bisard

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fellow police officers are set to testify today in the trial of suspended Indianapolis Police Officer David Bisard.

This morning on the stand, Assistant Chief Ron Hicks and District Commander John Conley relayed a familiar theme: They didn't detect any drunken behavior from Bisard at the scene.

The defense continues to cast doubt on claims the suspended police officer was drunk. The police department and FBI reports, 67 witnesses say they didn't detect alcohol on Bisard. However, blood tests showed Bisard tested twice the legal limit for sobriety. The defense attorneys have also maintained that the evidence is unreliable because it was mishandled and therefore, not reliable.
