Feds: Gang may have reclaimed Fort Wayne clubhouses…

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ A federal official says members of the Outlaws motorcycle gang may have reclaimed two of their Fort Wayne clubhouses eight months after a multi-state raid resulted in the arrests of dozens of alleged gang members.

U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Tim Horty tells the News-Sentinel brand-new signs have been installed at two properties in Fort Wayne long associated with the gang.

Horty says prosecutors have heard similar “frustrating” complaints from citizens in Indianapolis. He says federal officials are trying to seize the clubhouses through a civil court process under which a judge could rule the properties were used for criminal activity and hand them over to the government.

Dozens of members of the motorcycle group’s chapters were arrested last July during raids in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois.
