Position: Account Manager

Federated Media is looking for an activator – someone who takes the initiative to make things happen. Someone who consistently outproduces their peers. Someone with a track record of cooking up solutions that clients just can’t resist. A person who always lives up to their commitments, even if it means going the extra mile. This position requires the ability to set appointments, uncover key marketing challenges, and present solutions that get results for all types of local businesses. Candidate must also be computer-literate, detail-oriented, and have the ability to open doors to new business opportunities.

Federated Media provides extensive marketing and sales training through the Radio Advertising Bureau and The Center for Sales Strategy.

Digital Training is provided through Federated Digital Solutions. This job might be right for you if:

You might have the experience you need, if:

  • You have prior success selling business services to senior-level management in companies that focus on b2b.
  • You have a track record of identifying and closing large opportunities.
  • You have read at least 1 business, marketing or sales book in the last 12 months and enjoy constantly learning.
  • You have experience with Consulting, b2b sales, Marketing, Advertising, Media, Analytics, Optimization, using new digital marketing tools that include SEM/SEO, Social Media management, E-mail marketing, Targeted Display Advertising, and Google Analytics.

Compensation: Competitive compensation of salary plus commission.

WOWO News/Talk WOWO 1190AM / 107.5FM has immediate job openings in TWO different areas: Digital Producer and On-Air Anchor

The Digital Producer is responsible for:

  • Aggregating important local and regional news for and social platforms.
  • Curating community-driven content
  • Bringing a web-first perspective on breaking news
  • Reporting on local news and producing and editing web stories and digital elements
  • Using social media to not only share and gather digital content, but also to engage with the audience and build trust in the community
  • Interacting with the Fort Wayne community both online and in person
  • Brainstorming and reporting on locally enterprised stories for the web and radio
  • Setting and meeting reasonable goals for building web traffic and social media audiences

The On-Air Anchor is responsible for:

  • Anchoring live newscasts
  • Reporting live breaking news reports
  • Writing, gathering, recording and editing reports for on-air and online
  • Monitoring sources for breaking news on-air and online

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience working in a daily newsroom environment and will be able to work well with others. They should also have an understanding of social media and writing for the web. Excellent communication and writing skills are imperative. These are creative positions, but do require the ability to stay organized and focused while working under pressure.
